At Cantina Il Poggio, nestled among the Parma hills, you can take part in our Brunch in the Winery: a unique journey that combines a guided tour through vineyards and cellars with a special brunch-style tasting.

The Brunch in the Winery at Cantina Il Poggio takes place once a month on Saturday, and all dates are open for booking on our website.

At the time of writing this article, the following dates are available:

🍂 September 13, 2025 – 11:00 AM – with views of the vineyard turning autumn colors (weather permitting)
      October 18, 2025 – 11:00 AM – with views of the vineyard turning autumn colors (weather permitting)
      November 8, 2025 – 11:00 AM – by the fireplace, inside our barrel-shaped tasting room
🎄 December 13, 2025 – 11:00 AM – perfect as a Christmas gift 🎁

⛈️ In case of bad weather, the tour will still take place, starting directly inside the winery.

What awaits you:

  • Guided tour starting from the vineyard, then through the winery and barrel cellar, discovering the secrets of winemaking between tradition and innovation

  • Brunch-style tasting, featuring six wines paired with both sweet and savory dishes

The brunch here is treated like a tasting, designed to enhance local (and beyond) products in harmony with our wines.

Some highlights include:

🫒 Olives harvested from our olive groves, marinated with a variety of herbs and spices such as salt, chili pepper, fennel seeds, bay leaf, orange and lemon peel and garlic.

🍞 Bruschetta with our EVO olive oil obtained from Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino, and Moraiolo varieties, toasted over burning oak and chestnut  wood in our barbeque, directly from the forests surrounding the Estate.

 

🧀Cheeses:

 

🥓 Cured meats from the Parma province, aged in the cellars of our historic villa (subject to availability):

  • Culatello di Zibello PDO, aged 40 months

  • Prosciutto di Parma PDO, aged 36 months

  • Culaccia (or Culatta) PDO, aged 36 months

  • Pancetta PDO, aged 24 months

🍽️ Hot dish, a surprise dish that changes with each brunch—often Duroc pork ribs from Parma, grilled over our crackling wood fire.

🧁 Sweet ending, with Focaccia Dolce or Sbrisolona from Pasticceria Tabiano – Tabiano Terme (PR).
